# Get hotel information

`POST /v1/hotels/get` · MCP tool: `get_hotel`

Get information about one hotel by HotelUse ID: address, photos, facilities, policies and source metadata. No live rates. Each newly read hotel version costs $0.005 after signup credits; repeat reads of the same version are free.

## Information for one hotel

Pass a HotelUse `hu_…` ID returned by `search_hotels`. The response contains `data.hotel` with address, photos, facilities, descriptions, policies and source metadata. No stay dates or live price request are needed. Use the same ID with `get_room_rates` to explore room options.

Each newly read hotel version uses one hotel information unit. Repeat reads of the same version are free.

## Request example

This static request does not require stay dates or occupancy. Use a fresh Idempotency-Key per intended operation; keep it for retries.

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `schema_version` | Current response schema, `1.0`. |
| `request_id` | Include this value when reporting an issue. |
| `data.hotel` | One static hotel record with provider ID mappings, source timestamps and a record version. |
| `usage` | Actual units, signup units used, paid units and USD charged for this response. |



## Hotel record fields

`include` accepts `provider_records` and `provenance`. The current response already includes the full public record; these flags do not expose private supplier fields.

| `hotel_id` | Stable HotelUse identifier for subsequent rate calls. |
| `giata_id` | GIATA identity where present, otherwise null. |
| `provider_records[]` | Connection, provider and external_hotel_id; no supplier credentials. |
| `source_updated_at` | Reported source refresh timestamp, or null if unavailable. |
| `record_version` | Version used for repeat-read billing. |
| `address`, `geo`, `star_rating`, `amenities`, `images`, `descriptions`, `timezone` | Normalized static data. Source values can be missing or null. |



## Pagination

This operation returns one record and has no result pages.
